Reports To: The Senior Pastor
Status: Part-time (less than 21hrs/wk)
The pastoral ministry assistant reports to the senior pastor and aids the senior pastor in administrative and executive duties as needed/assigned by the senior pastor.
The purpose of the Pastoral Ministry Assistant is to lighten the administrative load on the senior pastor (and other staff with approval of senior pastor) in order to allow the senior pastor to spend more time on the pastoral tasks directly related to people. The Pastoral Ministry Assistant will team with the staff of Oakdale EFC in order to ensure the mission and vision of Oakdale is implemented in an efficient way.
A believer whose life reflects deacon characteristics. (I Timothy 3:8-13)
A member of Oakdale EFC.
Have spiritual gifting and/or skills that include discernment, administration and service.
The ability to see administrative needs and meet them.
Proficiency in technology and communication.
Team with the senior pastor and other staff to ensure the ongoing execution of Oakdale’s mission and vision.
Be available to provide administrative/executive support to church events (worship services, special events, etc.) as assigned by the senior pastor.
Identify and provide a means to meet administrative needs.
Meet with the senior pastor/staff regularly for prayer and encouragement and to identify areas where help is needed.
Other responsibilities given by the senior pastor.
Salary and benefits
Salary: up to $20/hour based on experience
Phone allowance: $50/month
Mileage: Provided @ the Gov’t rate as approved by the senior pastor
Vacation: Unpaid vacation to be coordinated with the senior pastor
