Tyler Stauffer

Head Pastor

Pastor Tyler is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and has been serving at Oakdale since 2017.  Tyler lives in rural Meriden with his wife Brielle and their 3 children whom they homeschool.  Tyler has served in the Army National Guard since 2009 and is currently the 67th Troop Command Chaplain in the Iowa Army National Guard.  He also serves on the editorial board for Intersections, a publication of The Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity.  In his free time Tyler is a licensed falconer who enjoys reading, writing, and spending time in nature,

Gene Petersen

head Elder

Gene lives in rural Cleghorn with his wife Joanne.  Gene retired from sales but stays busy with his 13 grandchildren and working on homestead projects.  He also currently serves as the board president for GoServ Global, a ministry sharing God's love by providing humanitarian aid to vulnerable communities worldwide.  Their 4 adult children all graduated from the MMC school district where Gene also served 7 years on the school board and spent several years as board president.  

Ernie Hilliard

Elder

Ernie lives in Cherokee with his wife, Cherrie.  Together they have 5 adult children, 14 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter.  Ernie was a sales manager for Kruger seed company but is now retired and enjoys spending time gardening and doing yard work.  He also spends time keeping up with his grandchildren who are active in the Cherokee public schools.

Josh Hancock

Elder

Josh and his wife live in Paullina with their 5 boys, ages 2 through 14, whom they homeschool.  Josh currently manages the Prairie Market grocery store in Paullina and in his free time enjoys playing violin, hunting, fishing, bicycling, and archery.  He and his wife are actively involved in Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) and lead a 5-day club each summer to bring the gospel to the kids of their community.

Andy Brown

Elder

Andy lives in rural Paullina with his wife Laurie.  They have one adult daughter who is married and has blessed them with two grandsons.  Andy is retired from ministry but is currently working part time as a pastoral assistant here at Oakdale.  His active ministry included 10 years as a youth pastor in the Chicago area, 8 years as a missionary to Kenya, 1 year as an interim youth pastor at Oakdale, and 19 years as a pastor in New Jersey.  

Tim Wester

Elder

Tim is a retired medical missionary to Africa.  He now resides in Paullina with his wife Ann.  They have two adult children and one granddaughter.   He volunteers with the EFCA Archive Department and also with Reach Global assisting with expense tracking for several missionaries.  He enjoys reading, organizing historical data, and maintaining contact with former nursing and medical students.
